Classic vanilla cake: organic all-purpose flour, organic cane sugar, baking powder, organic vanilla powder, salt.
Gluten-free vanilla cake: gluten-free flour mix (sweet white rice flour, whole grain brown rice flour, potato starch, whole grain sorghum flour, tapioca flour, xanthan gum), organic cane sugar, baking powder, organic vanilla powder, salt.
Whole grain vanilla cake: organic whole wheat pastry flour, organic cane sugar, baking powder, organic vanilla powder, salt.
All you need to add: 3 large eggs, 3/4 cup canola or other neutral oil, 2/3 cup milk or milk alternative
1. Heat oven to 325°F. Grease baking pans with cooking spray.
2. Whisk cake mix, eggs, milk, and oil until well combined. Divide batter evenly between pans.
3. Bake according to chart or until cake springs back in center. Let cool completely before frosting.
Tip: A tall cake is more impressive, so we recommend three 6" layers. For 9" layers, we recommend using two packages of cake mix.
